I was under a newly constructed house and between each concrete pillar is a blue cloth like a tarp hanging between each pillar.....rain was falling and the yard was flooded....there were alligators..huge..in the yard and when I tried to go up the stairs on left to find my mother I noticed there was a green alligator on that staircase and it tried to snap at me...note that the there were two staircases and one lead to the back door and one lead to the front door...the one that I was trying to take leaf to the front door or entrance of the house...I remember hearing my mother talking to two of her coworkers with whom she has had issues with them trying to sabotage her.. Note I am not close with my mother and would never try to seek her out because I don't feel safe with her..
Dreams often weave together our subconscious thoughts, fears, and experiences. Your dream is rich in symbols and emotions that can provide insights into your current state of mind and personal journey. Let’s break down the key elements:
The Newly Constructed House: Houses in dreams often represent the self or the psyche. A newly constructed house could signify a new phase in your life, perhaps a transformation or a desire for change. However, since you felt unsafe and disconnected from your mother, this new space may also reflect feelings of instability or uncertainty in your own identity or life circumstances.
Concrete Pillars with Blue Tarps: The pillars provide structural support, indicating areas in your life where you feel grounded or anchored. The blue tarps may symbolize protection or concealment, suggesting that you are trying to shield certain aspects of yourself from the external world (like emotions, vulnerabilities, or past experiences). They also could represent feelings of being trapped or overwhelmed by your surroundings.
Rain and Flooding: Water in dreams often represents emotions. Rain can indicate sadness, cleansing, or a release of pent-up feelings. A flooded yard suggests that these emotions are overwhelming you, possibly hinting at a situation in your life where you feel your emotional state is out of control or threatening to engulf you.
Alligators in the Yard: Alligators can symbolize fear or danger, often representing hidden threats lurking in your subconscious. Their size implies that these fears are significant and possibly connected to unresolved issues or experiences from your past, especially given the situation with your mother. The alligators may reflect feelings of being threatened by people or situations in your life that you perceive as predatory or dangerous.
The Stairs: Stairs in dreams can indicate progress, transitions, or the journey toward personal growth. You were attempting to ascend the stairs to find your mother, which signifies a search for connection or understanding in a relationship fraught with tension. The green alligator on the staircase may symbolize specific fears associated with that journey towards reconnection or reconciliation.
The Presence of Your Mother: Your mother's presence, especially in the context of her struggling with colleagues, points toward your own strained relationship with her. The fact that you mentioned feeling unsafe around her indicates that this relationship may be a source of anxiety for you. Her conversations with coworkers suggest underlying feelings of frustration or powerlessness, possibly mirroring your own emotions regarding family dynamics and the need for support.
In conclusion, your dream paints a picture of inner turmoil, fear, and the complexities of familial relationships—all against the backdrop of a new beginning. It suggests that you may be grappling with unresolved issues, particularly related to your mother and the resulting anxiety stemming from that dynamic. Your subconscious might be urging you to confront these fears or seek alternative pathways that feel safer and more aligned with your true self. Consider reflecting on how you might navigate these feelings and foster emotional resilience in your waking life.
